Matt Ritchie Scores for Bournemouth on Blistering Volley

Well that’s a fine effort for your first ever Premier League goal. Matt Ritchie gave the recently promoted Bournemouth a 2-0 lead early on against Sunderland with an absolute missile off the volley following a corner kick.

Charlie Daniels hit the corner and it was headed away from the front of the goal, but it went right to Ritchie. He settled it with his chest and hit it as pure as can be as it fell in front of him. Here’s another great angle that shows the ball curling right into the top corner.
