Damn! Toronto’s Metric haven’t released a new tunes since 2013… till now. “The Shade” is a decidely synthy slab of pop, featuring surprising vocal manipulations. It’s kinda, well, emo. Like Paramore if Paramore were into Italo disco. An unexpected tangent, Metric’s sixth record is out later this year.
