Interpol Gets Help Turning On the Bright Lights

Interpol live at The Creators Project NYC launch!

Interpol’s highly anticipated set at the Creators Project NYC launch event was a blissful sensory overload. Playing a solid selection of mostly old jams, they were having their way with crowd, and the masses were certainly appreciative. It’s difficult to imagine what might make this set any more memorable. But then there was a laser light show going on directly opposite the stage, courtesy of James Powderly’s much hyped L.A.S.E.R. tag team, that took the entire thing into a next dimension. After a late start, Powderly managed to get it set up and running just as Interpol took the stage. Projecting tags from NYC’s All City Crew on the buildings directly opposite Milk Studios, the crowd hardly knew where to look—at the band or the art—with so much stimulation assaulting their senses simultaneously. A fine show in every respect.
