London-based wearable tech fashion duo CuteCircuit—fashion designer Francesca Rosella and interface designer Ryan Genz—are not unfamiliar with designing high-tech haute couture for A-listers. They previously decked out Katy Perry in 3,000 color-changing LEDs and just recently they’ve draped Nicole Scherzinger in real-time tweets.
Calling to mind Moritz Waldemeyer‘s Twitter dress for Imogen Heap, CuteCircuit’s creation is embedded with LEDs which display tweets and animations that light up the dress. On the night she wore it people could tweet the dress using #tweetthedress and get their tweets displayed—so if you fancied critiquing her latest single, you had the perfect platform. As well as being a wearable twitter feed the gown also consisted of French chiffon changeant and thousands of hematite Swarovski elements.
