This is the product of Project Yosemite by Sheldon Neill and Colin Delehanty, a pair of time lapse enthusiasts who apparently met through Vimeo. What started off as one trip into the park turned into a whole series of excursion in their bid to document Yosemite at its most gorgeous.
According to Open Culture, the duo used Canon 5d Mark II bodies with a slew of Canon and Zeiss lenses. The real key, however, is their use of slow panning rigs to give depth to their shots. Gear nerdery aside, seeing El Capitan in all of its splendor, backed with a gorgeous sunset and incredible night shots (what technical wizardry!) is an absolute treat.
