Taking his glowing stones on the road, artist Daan Roosegaarde is in talks to create the world's first permanent illuminated bike path. Located in the Eindhoven region, the proposed [Van Gogh Bicycle Path](http://uk.heijmans.nl/Roosegaarde-%20VanGoghBicyclePath#.UmjeGmkW2Sd
) will run where Vincent Van Gogh lived from 1883 to 1885, and create a real-world interpretation of one of his most famous paintings Starry Night_ (see below).
To be composed of thousands of glowing stones, the 600-metre long path will utilize the same light-emitting techniques Roosegarde employed for his Smart Highway concept. Solar powered, these stones are able to charge during the day, and shimmer all night.
With a concept unveiled during Dutch Design Week, the final installation will be ready in 2014.
