Euro 2016 starts tomorrow, and the England band won't be there.

Germany will field the youngest team at the Euros, with an average age of just 25.81 years.

The potential for terrorism is something on just about everybody's mind in the run-up to the Euro Cup. The New York Times has a write-up on what the French government is doing to try and keep everyone safe.

Sascha Lewandowski, the former manager of Union Berlin and Bayer Leverkusen was found dead in his apartment. The cause of death is still unknown. He was 44.

The Guardian has an interesting video about why 24 is not a good number of teams to have at the Euro Cup. It's more interesting than the simple math the title implies. We could see teams having shootouts to determine who gets out of a group.

Maria Sharapova has been banned for two years (!) over her positive doping test.
