MK Says No One Will Use Vinyl In The Future Of DJing

Native Instruments just rolled out the first installment of its new video series, The Future Of DJing. The inaugural clip stars house legend MK (AKA Marc Kinchen), who explains how he transitioned from playing vinyl to using the Traktor controller, and why he thinks vinyl-only snobbery is unjustified. “In 5-10 years, all these 12 year old DJs who are using Traktor are going to be just killing the scene by never using vinyl,” Kinchen declares, before demonstrating how to work the hardware to make live edits and loops at a gig in Glasgow. He’s also featured signing five separate Traktor Kontrol X1 units, each of which Native Instrument is giving away for free.
