Ikea Is Sick of You Playing Around in Their Stores

Go play hide-and-seek somewhere else.

Walking around Ikea may feel like a Michel Gondry movie come to life, but the company has had it with everyone having fun inside their stores. Bloomberg reports that Ikea recently started banning games of hide-and-seek from Ikeas in the Netherlands, after a group on Facebook organized hide-and-seek events with over a hundred people in a Belgian Ikea last summer. Blaming the ban on an effort to maintain store safety, a spokeswoman from the furniture manufacturer said that it's hard to keep customers safe when Ikea "[doesn't] even know where they are." Spoken like someone who is really bad at hide-and-seek. A bunch of upcoming hide-and-seek events are currently looking for new locations.
