Dennis Cooper and Eileen Myles Are Reading and You Should Come

A pair of big-balled literary talents like Cooper and Myles don't come together in the same room too often.

There are hundreds of readings in New York City every year and even if you’re a literary person about town whose bookshelves are piled high with self-published chapbooks, you don’t have nearly enough time to attend all of them—and who would want to? Most readings feature self-proclaimed poets who drone on for far too long about themselves in front of a small audience that is only there to find out where the after party is. That said, most readings don’t feature both Eileen Myles and Dennis Cooper, as tonight’s reading at McNally Jackson Books does.

The reading starts at 7 PM and it’s one of those things that you should come early to if you want to get a seat. A pair of big-balled literary talents like Cooper and Myles don’t come together in the same room too often.

McNally Jackson Books is located at 52 Prince Street, between Mulberry and Lafayette Streets in Manhattan. There’s a book group discussion of Myles’s Inferno at 5:30 PM hosted by Emily Books. The reading begins at 7 PM.
