Frank Carter's Pure Love Are Here!

I took some photos at their first ever show.

On Tuesday (14th) Frank Carter's new band, Pure Love, played their first ever show in Shepherd's Bush, West London. I went along to find out if the ex-Gallows frontman's new band were any good. They were! Before Tuesday, no one had ever heard any Pure Love songs. Up till now, all the world had to suss it out were a few minutes of esoteric intro track. Everyone I spoke to seemed to be keeping a pretty open mind. (Everyone, that is, apart from two guys who had travelled from Bristol. One had brought his stepmother, who kept talking about how messed up it would be if three of them got together. No one was protesting too much. Apparently Valentine's Day and being very drunk made virtual incest permissible. Don't ask me for details, I walked away when she started describing how his dad couldn't satisfy her.) Luckily for me (and Bristolians everywhere), Frank soon took the stage. He was smiling and wearing smart clothes. Then the rest of the band joined him, Pure Love played some rock and roll and everybody was very happy about it. Despite being kicked in the face and falling over a lot I managed to take some of pictures at the gig, mostly of Frank looking alla moda and the legs of people who were around me as I fell (see below). On stage, Frank announced that Pure Love (whose other principal member is guitarist Jim Carroll of The Hope Conspiracy, BTW) were flying out to New York on Wednesday where they will record the album they've been sitting on for a year. So, that's something to look forward to. Now here are those damn pictures.
