What it's like to give a State of the Union response

This Peruvian immigrant is giving the Democratic response to the State of the Union — in Spanish.

Elizabeth Guzman isn't rich. She's an immigrant from Peru. But she beat an eight-term incumbent Republican the first time she was ever on the ballot and become one of the first two Latino women ever elected to the state's House of Delegates.

On Tuesday, she's going to give one of two official Democratic Party responses to President Donald Trump's first State of the Union address. Hers is in Spanish.

VICE News talked to Guzman about the speech and her take on how the Democratic Party is rallying immigrants for 2018.
