The long, strange trip that is Southern California's Desert Daze is back for a sixth edition, and this year's stacked bill does not disappoint. Today Noisey is pleased to announce the first round of Desert Daze's 2017 lineup, featuring the spectacular Spiritualized, touring pals Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions, and more.

The festival returns October 12-15, landing back at the appropriately far out Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Institute of Mentalphysics in Joshua Tree with a mix of psych and shoegaze heavy hitters and underground favorites that have become the boutique gathering's signature. The event will also feature film screenings, immersive art installations, an outdoor art park, classes, seminars, and a marketplace.

Public on-sale for tickets, camping, and payment plans kicks off June 21, when the rest of the lineup will be announced. Visit Desert Daze's website for more info and check out the first round of its 2017 lineup below.
