VERNON TREWEEKE IS BACK

The art of Vernon Treweeke is like the stuff you see when you close your eyes on a trip. Psychedelic. Surreal. A phantasmagoric fusion of colors and imagery. And it's no wonder his art is the way it is. Deciding to deviate from the capitalist bullshit of the mainstream art world, he opted for the lifestyle of the radically alternative in Nimbin NSW. Setting up a commune there, organised the biggest Aquarius festival ever. When it comes to Psychedelia, Treweeke has solid credibility.

Despite being over sixty and recently retired, he's again ready to exhibit his paintings though Carriageworks, starting from June.
