LONDON - NAN GOLDIN PICKS CTL.ALT.SHIFT PHOTO PRIZE WINNER

PHOTO: JONATHAN HYAMS

It's not just opium coke-floats and interns in gold leggings here at Vice. No, over the last few months we've been running a photography competition with Ctrl.Alt.Shift under the title Gender, Poverty and Power, asking photographers to help bridge global social gaps and offering them the chance to work closely with a number of mentors. Nan Goldin has been acting as an Ambassador for the competition and has chosen Jonathan Hyams' 'Zimbabwean Sex Worker' (the picture above) as the overall winner. Congratulations Jonathan. However, because we live in a democracy and not a barbed-wired cage three thousand years in the future patrolled by martian-man hybrids, you can also have a vote. So go check out the entries and vote for you favourite - the winner gets to display their work alongside Goldin's in January.
