On Facebook yesterday evening, college radio station WNYU posted the event “Jazz At Lincoln Center: Wynton Maraslis With Special Guest Skrillex” that was to take place on Jan 22. Here’s the event description below.

A quick phone call to representatives at WNYU confirmed that the event was completely fabricated. Wah-wah.

But is it outside of the realm of possibility to the hottest trumpeter in jazz and the most formidable DJ in EDM to cross-paths? We’ve seen odder collaborations at the Grammy’s, and hey, Skrillex is up for one this year.
