Ronald Reagan—actor-turned-president whose capacity for politics was practically a joke in the 1960s and 70s until he wiped the floor with Jimmy Carter and served two terms in the White House—wouldn’t have wanted a Trump presidency, according to his son, Michael.
While Trump might remind some of us of Reagan, Reagan’s kid—who works as a conservative political strategist—tweeted Monday that the GOP presidential frontrunner will not have his vote in the California primaries and likely wouldn’t have had his father’s vote either, were Reagan still alive. He also called Trump an “embarrassment.”

Michael has vehemently dismissed the perceived similarities between his former president father and the real estate mogul, condemning Trump’s comments on immigration in an interview with Politico and telling Newsmax in January, “If you look at what he has said and you look at what he’s done over the years, it has nothing to do with conservatism.”
