A mesmerizing new music video for the Jezabels' "Come Alive," from their new album, Synthia, takes the the favored medium of the Impressionists to new heights. Thousands of individual oil paintings, painstakingly animated by Australian production house Oh Yeah Wow's Darcy Prendergast and Xin Li, weave a tale of mob versus witch that jumps straight past the frontal lobe and sucker punches the lizard brain, much like the work of Monet, Renoir, or Pissaro. The group has also made music videos for the likes of Gotye and Slash, and they made the oft-plagiarized Clubfeet joint, "Everything You Wanted." Their newest release is out of left field for Oh Yeah Wow, whose work usually features more traditional animation and stop-motion, but they nail it.
