Peaches’ installation, “Fan Base,” is a collection of items thrown at the artist while performing, conglomerated into a cave-like shrine, while a video montage from 30 different concerts plays in the background. Previously exhibited at La 5e Biennale de Montreal in 2007, the piece is now showing in the No More Heroes & Daughters group show at the Aram Art Gallery in the Goyang Cultural Foundation through December 12th. For those of us who can’t make it to South Korea, the video above shows an up-close-and-personal preview of the work featuring priceless souvenirs like an alphabet charm bracelet (try and guess the word it spells) and a diagram of the female anatomy, amongst a plethora of colorful and shiny clothing and lingerie…that is added to after every tour.According to Peaches’ blog, No More Heroes & Daughters will also feature a work by creator Hojun Song. We’re not sure what exactly he’s exhibiting (we’re betting on the DIY Satellite), but we strongly urge you to pick up one of his T-shirts since the proceeds go to funding fantastical, independent space exploration. Plus, you’re going to need something other-worldy to make it into “Fan Base.”
