Our Creators are a very talented and prolific bunch, and our inbox is always cluttered with alerts of new remixes and mashups from the incredible DJs and producers in our line-up. We just couldn't keep these fresh new tunes to ourselves because, after all, filesharing is caring. We’re back with the top three remixes of the past week.anything MARIA: “Cook Him Up” (Yuksek remix)The original version of this song seems like a tune best fit for the airwaves of a low-lit, underground nightclub, but maybe that’s just because the video features the French pop star singing into a microphone against a red backdrop (with cool looking x-ray lighting effects). Yuksek’s remix has livened up the tempo, making it fit for the skies of the remix video that that takes us on a mini-geographical tour—from a deserted sandbar to hovering over bubbling, molten lava.Mark Ronson and the Business Intl. feat. Boy George: “Somebody to Love” (Holy Ghost! remix)Barely a week goes by without news of Mark Ronson remixing a new track or collaborating with the hottest band du jour. That’s why we’re excited to hear Brooklyn-based “tropical” indie band Holy Ghost! remake the producer-wonder-boy’s work for a change. This version gives Boy George’s heartfelt outcry for love a slightly more disco feel, but the overall effect is just as resonating — we’d like to take the remix to a party and save the original for introspective headphone listening. Click here for both Red Amber Green and Congorock’s remixes.Tinchy Stryder feat. Giggs, Pro Green, Tinie Temph, Devlin, Example, and Chipmunk: “Game Over” (Random Impulse refix)Jovel Walker (a.k.a. Random Impulse) posts a new refix track, incorporating his own music and vocals, on his blog every Sunday. Last week, while refixing “Game Over,” he added some guitar and freestyled his own commentary on Stryder’s hand-picked cast of UK hip-hop all stars. This one speaks for itself…Tinchy take note.
