Yawen Chen is 25, lives in Brooklyn, and won two plane tickets and two nights of hotel accommodations from Jetsetter to attend our London event. We caught up with her during her lunch hour to find out how it feels to fly halfway across the world for the weekend. She was also kind enough to share some pics of her travels for the slideshow above. The Creators Project: So how did you decide to enter our flyaway contest in the first place?
Yawen Chen: I didn’t get a chance to attend the New York event, so i figured why not — I’ll enter for London. I love traveling. I heard about it through Facebook actually… saw a few friends joined the group, and we were pretty stoked for the lineup for the NYC event. What roles do art and technology play in your life?
I am definitely interested in art & tech. I work in digital production. While I don’t do much art anymore… I used to be a designer. Right now I consider myself an amateur photographer. So what was it like to unexpectedly fly to London for two days with the guest of your choice?
It was pretty intense. I took a college friend, who is my current roommate. I ended up spending a lot of time during the event in front of UVA's Triptych. I liked the way people were interacting with the lights. Also Radical's Friend's The Digital Flesh was pretty weird. I liked the colors.
