Baauer's New Video for "GoGo!" Is a Subtle Mind Fuck

The scorching-hot track is out now on LuckyMe.

Classic tripper moment: you and your friends are staring at a YouTube video, mouths agape, completely blown away by the dizzying 3D visuals morphing all over the screen. Then you snap out of it and realize that you're staring at some album cover that your fried brain has mistaken for the sickest music video ever.

The video for Baauer's dope new single "GoGo!," out now on Glasgow's LuckyMe label, is pretty much the opposite of that. What appears to be a static picture of a dreamcatcher affixed to a satellite against an indigo-hued sky turns out to be slowly-shifting video of a white-hot sun rising so slowly you might miss that it's moving at all.

The scorching track—which barrels forward with tectonic plates of sub-bass, now a trademark of Baauer's refreshingly original take on trap—premiered earlier this week on Zane Lowe's Beats1 radio show. Baauer uploaded the accompanying video to his YouTube channel on Tuesday. Check it out below.
