Listen To DV-i's Dreamy Drum-And-Bass Odyssey, "Softbank"

Perfect for whipping your hovercraft through the emerald skyscrapers of Neo-Tokyo.

A few weeks ago NYC-based producer and game developer DV-i released his magnum opus, Auroria Memoria. It's an immersive dating simulation game with an all-original soundtrack—check out the trailer. Now, he's released a new song called "Softbank," a hypnotic drum-and-bass odyssey perfect for whipping your hovercraft through the emerald skyscrapers of Neo-Tokyo.

"Softbank, a PCM data package that serves as the first installment of aurora memoria aDLC," he explains, "is the aesthetic bridge between the digital hyperstim of the EP tracks and the Hisaishi/Sakamoto-indebted soft melancholy of the OST tracks. It is a synthesis of early UK breakbeat hardcore and the intensely melodic, intensely lush digital soundscapes of audiologos and 90s/early 2000s VGM. These two elements are bridged by a sense of unbridled MIDI enthusiasm that is heavily inspired by the agility of Italian Eurobeat and the complexity of David Gamson circa 1985."
