Nicolas Jaar Is Curating a Four-Night Residency in New York City

The residency will take place at intimate Queens venue Trans-Pecos, hosted by Jaar's label Other People.

Nicolas Jaar is bringing his record label, Other People, to New York City for a four-night residency at the small, Ridgewood, Queens music venue Trans-Pecos from December 8-11, 2015. The lineup of artists are as deep and eclectic as the artist himself, kicking off with a live set from Okokon and William Basinski, as well a live improv set from Bladerunner, a new collaborative group which consists of Darkside guitarist Dave Harrington, Will Epstein, Tlacael Esparza, Samer Ghadry and, yes…. Nicolas Jaar.

This will set the stage for an all-night, *walk-ups only* set from the Nico himself in the venue's intimate basement on December 9. The next night will feature Afrika Babbaataa, who will perform a vinyl-only DJ set, as well as a DJ set from Other People-affiliate DJ Slugo. The four-day run comes to a close on Friday, December 11 with live sets from Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, A Pleasure, and a b2b set from Hollow Earthand Ancient Astronaut.
