A strange thing happens when you spend a lot of time in Los Angeles. You start buying expensive cold-press juices and hiking in Runyon Canyon. You eventually acclamate to the fact that everyone in your yoga class has plastic surgery face because you're really into being non-judgemental and centered. Even the idea of pounding an açai bowl suddenly doesn't seem so gnar dog.Son of Kick, a French-Israeli producer who lives in London, has been spending a lot of time in Lost Angels recently broing down with 12th Planet and his SMOG gang, an appropriate crew of cohorts given his fondness for knocks that toe the line between dubstep, trap, grime, D&B, and electro-house. While we're not sure if he's about that long-boarding-and-Pinkberry life, we're reasonably certain this video was filmed in LA. If it was filmed in bloody olde Englande, it would consist of Son and vocalist Jenna G walking around an estate looking moody under grey skies (like nearly every British bass video ever). Instead it's a Fight Club-meets-West Side Story jawn complete with a Skerrit Bwoy look-alike and girls with weird electroclash haircuts.There's plenty of girls fighting guys, girls fighting girls, and Son of Kick even throws a few punches himself.
