Pixel Noise Vol. 1: The Loud and the Pretty [Gallery]

When VICE's photo editor, Christian, isn't busy tracking down the weirdest, most provocative, and (dare we say) best photographs to blow your minds in both the mag and on VICE.com, he's wasting time and listening to every song he can get his hands on. Every week, he will bring you a mix of the stuff he's been jamming to, as well as a new photographer you should check out.

In the same way that there are a million musicians making electronic music in their bedrooms, there are a million photographers out there who need love too. Since I spend all day looking at photographs, I figure I would turn you on to some of the best image makers in the game.

This week, I want to highlight the work of Eléonore Hendricks. Eléonore's photos strikes a balance between the weird, fun, and loud, and the quiet, poetic, and pretty--just like the music I've chosen for the first Pixel Noise playlist. Eleónore is a New York-based photographer and actress, who pretty much has the most fun life ever, from the looks of her pictures. (I may or may not have a crush on her.)
