The forests and creeks that once held our hammocks and washed away our glow paint are hibernating for the winter. It's a sad thought, isn't it? But out in Merritt, British Columbia the festival season thawing is about to begin?•in theory, that is.

Update your iCalendars bassheads and hippie enthusiasts, Bass Coast is back for 2015.

As one of Canada's leading music festivals, Bass Coast has enchanted music devotees with their original lineups and art laden landscapes for six years. The festival holds its ground next to fellow forest friends Shambhala and Electric Forest, but offers a much more intimate experience. With only 3,000 tickets available, only the ones on separate laptops will score a ticket when they go on sale on December 1.

The postcard-worthy Nicola Valley landscape will be bursting with all of the music, performance art and workshops you could ever ask for?•gaze at this year's after movie to see what I'm talking about.

Bass Coast is moving forward one month this year and will take place on July 10-13, 2015. Tickets go on sale on December 1, 2014 on Bass Coast's website. Check back on THUMP next week for your chance to win a pair to next summer's event.
