Kidkanevil's New Video Melted Our Cold and Brittle Hearts

It showed us how to feels things again!

These are the digital daydreams of a space kid from the future. The video for "Butterfly/Satellite," by Kidkanevil (featuring Cuushe and Submerse), matches the playful tone of the guitar-laced computer pop of the tune -- It glances at tropes from a number of dance styles while ending up in some soul-cradling, ambient pop and even the curmudgeonliest of curmudges couldn't help but get some feels offa this.

The track is a departure for Kidkanevil, who seems as at home bringing the future bass vibes as he does melting our lil hearts with this tune or glitching us into an IDM frenzy. He's an undeniably deft producer and is impossible to look away from his evocative works.

The video was directed by Sankaku, a Japanese art squad that focus on animation, as evidenced by the world created in the video, but also do work in motion graphics. It could be considered a sequel of sorts to the arrestingly gorgeous "Inakunaru" video, premiered by THUMP a few months ago.

Also, there are digital hot dog legs and our protagonist may or may not expire at the end, so there's that.
