For the second year in a row, Ole Miss beat Alabama to take their record against the Tide to a crisp 11-47-2. The Rebels beat Alabama 43-37 last night and it was their first win at Bryant-Denny Stadium since 1988. But forget all that, just look at this absurd couple of seconds from early in the third quarter. This is the Benny Hill theme of touchdowns, and it is delightful.
On third-and-one from the Ole Miss 34, the snap to quarterback Chad Kelly was high, but he was able to get a finger on it. He then corralled the ball and managed to fire off a desperation heave to no one in particular as the Alabama defense swallowed him up. He didn’t even get his fingers on the laces for the throw. The “pass” deflected off Ole Miss receiver Laquon Treadwell’s hands and then bounced off Bama defender Minkah Fitzpatrick’s helmet only to land right in Quincy Adeboyejo’s hands. He then took it all the way into the end zone for a 66-yard touchdown that never should have happened.

It gave Ole Miss a 24-10 and they hung on with some more big plays—including a more traditional 74-yard TD pass from Kelly—for another crazy win over Nick Saban and Alabama.
