MUNCHIES: The Podcast: An Afternoon at Ina Garten's House, Part Two

The Barefoot Contessa opens up about flying airplanes and taking big risks.

This summer has been a wild one, but it's not over yet.

On the last episode of MUNCHIES: The Podcast, we made part of your dreams come true. We fueled up a rental car and took you on a road trip to Ina and Jeffrey Garten's house in East Hampton. By now, you've hopefully listened to part one of this special two-part episode. If you haven't heard it, go back and take a listen.

Today, we're digging even deeper with the Barefoot Contessa to discuss the parts of Garten's life her fans rarely get to hear about. We'll learn about the one ingredient that will never appear in her cookbooks, why she decided to get a private pilot's airplane license, and explore why her roast chicken is responsible for many US marriages. We'll also get some solid life advice from the Barefoot Contessa on how to take risks, even when it seems impossible.

So tune in to the latest episode of MUNCHIES: The Podcast and tell your friends to do the same. And if you haven't done so already, subscribe on iTunes and Soundcloud. We'll be back in two weeks for the next episode, when we'll celebrate the end of summer by eating ice cream with one our favorite internet friends, Lili Hayes. And if you haven't already picked up a copy of Ina Garten's newest cookbook, Cooking for Jeffrey, you should. Life isn't complete without that recipe for roast chicken with radishes.

And here's my own cash for gold moment: Our very first cookbook, MUNCHIES: Late-Night Meals from the World's Best Chefs drops October 24, but you can pre-order it now to prepare yourself for a delicious future.
