Charles Barkley on Analytics: "They're a Bunch of Guys Who Never Got the Girl In High School"

We are still having stupid debates about statistics in sports. Most recently, Charles Barkley called stat-heads guys who couldn't get girls in high school.

Maybe by the year 3000 we can find something else to fight about in sports, but for now we are stuck with stats vs. whatever the hell the other side is arguing. Eyes for watching sports, maybe? Anyway, as usual there are no winners in this debate. The NBA is about talent, yes, and bringing up all-time greats to prove you don't need stats to appreciate talent is like saying you know how to value precious stones because you saw the Hope Diamond once. Sometimes shit's obvious, sometimes it's not. And that valid point gets lost when you start throwing around words like "spewing misinformed biased vitriol."

Both sides are right and both sides are wrong, and they should be embarrassed with themselves for acting like children.
