Novak Djokovic beat Andy Murray 6-1, 7-5, 7-6 to secure his sixth Australian Open title. Murray is now winless in the five Aussie Open finals he has played in, and has dropped four of those matches to Novak. So when he opened his speech, gripping a plate instead of a cup, saying "I feel like I've been here before," he's not bullshitting. Murray went on to congratulate Djokovic on his win and recent form, thank the sponsors, the fans, and virtually everyone associated with the event. Then he addressed his pregnant wife, Kim Sears.

Adding to the difficulty of the tournament was an earlier scare for Kim's father Nigel Sears, who also coaches Ana Ivanovic. Sears collapsed in the stands during Ivanovic's third-round match against Madison Keys and had to be hospitalized. Murray considered dropping out of the tournament at that point, but Sears was given a clean bill of health and cleared to travel back home, so Murray continued on to the Final. After Murray gave his speech, Djokovic took the podium and offered some well wishes. "I would also like to wish you and Kim a very happy and healthy delivery of your baby and I hope you will experience a feeling like no other before, because that's what happened to me and my wife, so I wish you all the best."Aw, sports are nice.Andy Murray's press conference lasts barely five minutes and he leaves in a rush. Going to try and make a flight home in 90 minutes from now
