Images viaMassive, lifelike ice formations appeared atop Mount Javornik in Slovenia recently, after ten straight days of frozen fog assaulted the frosty peak. Photographer Marco Korosec took a break from his typical regimen of storm chasing to instead highlight the aftermath of nature's fury, capturing the twisted ice left behind. Entirely consisting of ultra hard rime ice, the cascading structures look handcrafted in great detail, to the point that Korosec gave the images names like Icy Dragon and Frozen Creature. Spikes of ice reaching up to three feet in length stuck off of a watchtower and massive trees, creating a scene so desolate that the photographer was inspired to take an "Ice Age Selfie."
