Well here's an adventerous chef over at the How To Make Sushi Japanese Food Recipes Youtube channel has expanded the photographic exploration of the kitchen by poaching an egg under the watchful eye of a waterproof camera—one plopped right into the boiling water.

The result was worth the risk, according to a Reddit comment titled "Yes It Is True, I Boiled My GoPro To Get You This Footage," and the creator's camera only blacked out for a bit before recovering to full health. Now, this doesn't mean you should go around throwing cameras into boiling water all the time—but maybe a toasty timelapse of some baking bacon could land on the menu beside this delicious and yolky short video.
