In the magazine this month we paid a visit to Matehuala, Mexicoin search of some stylish footwearknown colloquially as "pointy boots." This extravagant and long-toed fashion statement is worn by only the most dapper of Mexicanos, and we were lucky enough to find the biggest and pointiest boots south of the border. We brought some cameras on the trip with us, and the footage has been turned into aBehind the Seams special. We hung out with the Bellavista Dance Crew, the Barrio Apache Hyphy Crew, and Los Perranderos, three of the most respected dance gangs in the pointy boot scene. We even met DJ Erick Rincon, who is nothing short of a god in the Tribal music world. Oh yeah, we also learned that our pal Minri has made apair of boots seven feet long—the longest to date! Congratulations Minri! If you'd like to get some of the toe-tapping tunes we used in the piece, head over here to download some tracks from Erick and the 3BallMTY crew.
