As the American baseball season is just getting under way, Nicaraguan beisbol is wrapping up. Last week I attended game one of the national championships, between the Granada Tiburones and the Boer Indians. The two teams have been arch-rivals since 1891. While the playing was pretty sub-par, the crowd scene at the stadium made the rowdiest US game look like a driving contest. Go to the Vice Photo Blog for pictorial evidence as to wherefore.
