CHARLES WILLEFORD SYMPOSIUM (IS AN UNFAIRLY BORING NAME FOR THIS DEAL)

Tonight at that Thirty Days NY thing Family is putting on, Vice editor Jesse Pearson will be joining Los Angeles comics-guy Sammy Harkham, New York guy-who-puts-out-great-comics-anthologies Dan Nadel, and power-walking crime-fic heavyweight Lawrence Block for a roundtable discussion of beloved author and pissass Charles Willeford.

Not too coincidentally, Nadel and Harkham are putting out Willeford's memoir, I Was Looking for a Street, which we excerpted at length in the print edition of this month's issue (sorry, "new media" enthusiasts). One of them should have copies with him tonight, that is, if they're worth their salt as book peddlers.
