MCGINLEY VS. THE OLYMPICS

This week's New York Times Magazine (aka their last bastion of decent reading) features a series of Olympic portraits by Ryan Mcginley, half of which look like stills from that Herzog movie about ski-jumping, the other of which just look like awesome photos.

We don't care whether you think sports are lame or not (though for the record, pretending to care about sports for the sake of shit like the Superbowl and World Series occupies the same level as talking about your pets on the insufferable-people-ziggurat),we still recommend checking out the shots if for no other reason than their soothing, medicinal effect against hangovers. Especially if you put on some Spiritualized and maybe pop a bar or two.
