TORONTO - DRINK TILL 4!

Can you believe it? We get to drink in bars until 4 in the morning because of the film festival! Wow, those celebrities must think we're p-retty cool. But it's all over soon, and by Sunday we'll be back to herding sheep and branding cattle (and adulterers) and all the other puritanical stuff we're used to. So make the best of it. Here's a few things you could do this weekend.

Tonight you could go to see Ghislain Poirier at the Drake, and on Saturday Pop Montreal is throwing a party there with Jamaica to Toronto. They'll be showing clips of the movie God's Own Country, but we're not sure if it's any good. If you're not into that you could go to the Poster Show tomorrow. It's also an Aids Wolf CD release, and you'll be able to buy a small forest's worth of show posters. If none of this sounds interesting then go to Wrongbar on Saturday where you can try your hand at Hipster Canadian Idol. What a terrible name. The central attraction for this business is Bronques from Last Nights Party. We agree that booking an entire event around a single party photographer seems lazy and slightly embarrassing, but what are you going to do?
