Today we have Creative30 icon Martin Creed who has nominated artist and musician Joanne Robertson. After studying at The Slade School of Art Creed's work, which is grounded in the conceptual art of the 1960's and 70's, has been universally liked by just about everyone culminating in his minimalist 2001 piece, Work No. 227, the lights going on and off, being awarded the Turner Prize. Creed also finds time to play in his band, Owada, and continues to regularly show work such as his Work No.850 which is currently confusing the hell out of old people at Tate Britain who were hoping to sedately stare at paintings only to be interrupted by Creed's moving installation of people sprinting through the gallery as fast as they can.
