Last month, the British Medical Journal finally and conclusively called bullshit on Andrew Wakefield's controversial 1998 paper that drew a link between autism and MMR vaccines (which is pretty much the only thing that ever has drawn a link between the two). But who the fuck cares what the British Medical Journal has to say? Have they ever presented an episode of The Big Breakfast? Or been killed in a Scream movie? Nope.Huffington Post didn't give a shit what a bunch of stuffy old boffins had to say about the subject either. Which is why they got Jenny McCarthy to weigh in on the subject in a blog post she "wrote" for them last week: "This debate won't end because of one dubious reporter's allegations. I have never met stronger women than the moms of children with autism. Last week, this hoopla made us a little stronger, and even more determined to fight for the truth about what's happening to our kids." So who are you gonna trust? BMJ or JMC? If there's one thing I learned from Frasier, it's that if I don't understand what somebody is talking about, then it's probably because they're a lot smarter than me. So there you have it folks. Conclusive evidence that, when deciding whether or not to vaccinate your child against 100% preventable, fatal diseases, Jenny McCarthy is the one to trust.
