Hall & Oates Are Suing a Granola Company

For calling their granola "Haulin' Oats."

Puns are funny. Everybody like puns. Everybody except Darryl Hall and John Oates, who find the whole business despicable and worthy of a lawsuit. The musical duo brought a case against the Brooklyn granola manufacturer Early Bird, because the company started selling a granola called "Haulin' Oats." Get it? Hall & Oates got it too, and they are none too pleased. Stereogum reported on the story and was quick to point out that the Eagles's Don Henley recently filed a similar suit over a shirt advertisement that said "Don a Henley." Middle of the road light rock musicians who peaked two decades ago have terrible senses of humor.
