What's the best way to steal $7.5 million worth of cargo?

Doing it in broad daylight with a stolen truck is what worked for one Montreal thief.

This dude literally drove into the Port of Montreal, loaded a container filled with "precious metal" onto his truck, and peaced the fuck out without being spotted—on a Wednesday afternoon, no less.

As one might expect from a shipping hub that handles 30 million tons of goods a year, the port is chock-full of surveillance; there are 300 cameras on site and security guards everywhere.

Freddy Marcantonio, Vice President of Distribution for Tag Tracking, a Montreal-based car theft prevention company, likened visiting the port to going through customs at the airport.

"It is virtually impossible to get here if you are not an authorized person," one port employee, who chose to remain anonymous, told Agence QMI.

But apparently, if you are a random person driving a stolen truck in the middle of the day, ain't no thang.

Montreal police have said they are still trying to understand how this happened. Good luck with that one.
