New York - Built By Wendy

What happened to Wendy Mullin ? After she did that nautical line where a Thin Lizzy cover band played the launch and everyone was wearing those ropey bracelets, she got a call from Wrangler asking her to design their next line. She emailed us a brief text that simply said, "I might rich" and then fell of the face of the earth.

Well she's back now and over a small cup or Red Rose tea she told us what happened: in a nutshell she was raped. She was forced to live in a hole in the ground and eat scraps that some psycho threw down for her. He was a very old man that weighed at least 300 lbs. JUST KIDDING! What she did is she did the Wrangler line and then she did a whole bunch of patterns that break down her line into paper cut outs you can make at home. The patterns come in pattern envelope things (like your cheap mother used to get from the library) called "Built by You" and they feature everything from skirts to pants to other stuff we don't know anything about. (PS from a guy's perspective: do girls still sew? Like, what percentage of girls can go buy the textiles they want for a pair of jeans, cut them out according to the pattern and then just bang them out, pockets and all?). Wendy also opened a new store in Williamsburg AND she put together a How To sew book called Sew U that starts girls out easy with skirts and stuff and then ends super difficult with, I don't know, I guess fancy pants. So yeah, if you are a girl and you want to make your own Wrangler line you can buy Sew U, then get the Built by You patterns, then either wear them if you're good or throw them in the garbage if you suck and go buy them already made from Wendy's new store.
