Here's the trailer for a new documentary about about how indigenous tribes in the Amazon are murdering unwanted children. Around 700 kids a year are killed by being buried alive, poisoned, or abandoned in the jungle. This practice is based on beliefs that babies born with any sort of physical defect, babies born out of wedlock, and babies born as twins or triplets are "cursed" and must be sacrificed for the good of the community.Infanticide among indigenous tribes was previously ignored by the Brazilian government, as they didn't want to interfere with these traditions out of respect for tribal culture. However, the country's human rights commission is putting mounting pressure on authorities to acknowledge that the situation is oh, how do you say, slightly fucked.Watch the whole film here.
