Watch Negative Scanner Perform Inside a Crammed Jam Room

The Chicago punks rip through a pacy new song inside a small DIY studio.

Negative Scanner seem like one of those rad bands that are able to fit on a hardcore punk bill, play a weird house show or open for some hot shot touring band at a concert hall.

Lead by vocalist and guitarist Rebecca Valeriano-Flores, the Chicago four-piece play a blend of tense post punk that buzzes with shouty lyrics and frantic drums beats. It's kind of like if Mark E Smith was a Bears fan.

2016 was busy year for the band that had them playing in three squats, a backyard, a radio station, a skate park, an indoor soccer complex and three record stores.

They can now add small DIY television space/studio to that list as Alternative Control has recently filmed and uploaded the band performing their song "Health Insurance" inside a small jam room. As some kind of visual affect happens on the back wall, the band zips through the pacy song.
