Ed Banger will never let disco die. Busy P's prolific label returns this week with an LP from Ed Banger OG Mr. Flash, Sonic Crusader, which turns out to be quite a fitting name. The album sounds like a ham-fisted declaration of disco's vitality—harmonica solos and all—and over the course of 15 tracks, the Parisian producer fearlessly traverses bombastic electro, synth pop, downtempo, new wave, and hip-hop. Despite its eclecticism, the record doesn't sound scatterbrained or unfocused, which is a testament to Mr. Flash's ample experience as a DJ and producer.
