Champagne Drip Levels Up by Remixing Hirsute Don Bassnectar

Peep Drippy's tropical bass remix of "You and Me" and download it for free.

Even though Champagne Drip only emerged from wherever-it-is-he's-from a month or so ago, he's (she's?) already established a signature sound that's immediately recognizable. There's some latent dubstep influences sitting underneath all the bright and jagged arpeggiated synths and good-times vibes, and all of it is brought together with such a a playful levity that we've had one eye planted firmly on his output since before Radio Bikini was even released on Mad Decent.

Yeah, we knew this guy (person? team? creature? posse?) was good from the onset. Apparently we're not the only ones on that early tip. The hirsute don himself, Bassnectar, picked out Drippy to take on remix duties of "You and Me." The original is huge, a festival-ready pop-step sing-a-long written with one eye on the radio. The remix takes the tune somewhere wholly new, straight to Bikini Atoll.

"It's fun to be able to come out of the gate working with such a well established act," says the mysterious Mr. and/or Mrs. Drip. "It's really fun working with Lorin because he handles his collaborations and remixes very personally. He doesn't hire an a&r guy to seek talent, he works with people who create music that he likes."

Oh yeah. here's that free download link.
