7 Things We Can't Wait To See At Movement Festival

Is it May 24th yet?

We here at the THUMP offices have been having a fairly spectacular day. And that is not only because a boutique catering service dropped off organic apples, cured ham, and gluten-free cookies (It's true—we are living a cliché somewhere between Portlandia and Girls). It is however because the legendary Detroit music festival Movement just dropped phase two of their already off-the-wall lineup.

We opened up our computer screens this morning, got wind of the latest additions and then spent an hour gosipping about it like old techno ladies. While we have yet to lock down the details on THUMP's Movement bus trip (yes, you're all invited), we decided to fill you all in on the seven things we just can't wait to witness at the festival. Without further adieu…

NO SCHOOL LIKE THE DETROIT SCHOOL:

We can only begin to imagine all the OG techno heads who had to change their undies after seeing phase one and two of the lineup drop. Anthony "Shake" Shakir, Mike Huckaby, Terence Dixon, Kenny Larkin, Carl Craig and countless others will be repping their hometown of Detroit throughout the weekend, and we can't wait to take part in all the sentimental vibes that will be flying through Hart Plaza.
