Sheila Brody is the Dancefloor Diva You Haven’t Heard Yet

Her new single “I Want To Tell You” is here to introduce her to a new generation.

Sheila Brody may not be a household name, but as dance diva vocalist Amuka and one of George Clinton's Brides of Funkenstein, she has left a mark or two on the dancefloor. Her new single, "I Want To Tell You" is a slice of distorted futurism that finds Brody's voice writhing into new dimensions. The track starts as a slow burn before unraveling into a cacophony of raw future funk.

Though she is still creating music with electronic instruments ready for a dancefloor audience, Brody's new material is a conscious departure from her Amuka alias. Part of that process entailed working with Public Enemy producer Gary G-Wiz. Recently, she signed to Public Enemy frontman Chuck D's SPITdigital, a distribution/label hybrid venture that suits Brody's musical eclecticism as well as her unique set of credentials.

"I Want To Tell You" is taken from her forthcoming "Mississippi" EP.
